Abstract

The rapidly evolving educational landscape demands proactive library engagement as a hub for literacy and information. Libraries must drive sustainable literacy initiatives, aligning with National Library Standards emphasizing learning resources, information literacy, research, and creative activities. To achieve accreditation, MIN Kota Bima must enhance its library quality. Literacy programs become an effective strategy to augment students' and teachers' information access and literacy culture. This qualitative descriptive study employs a case study approach, leveraging observation, interviews, and documentation to capture the phenomenon. Implemented literacy initiatives include: (1) Shared Reading, (2) Reading Corners, (3) Daily Literacy, (4) Madrasah Literacy Festivals, (5) Regular Library Visits, (6) Literacy Development, (7) Digital Literacy Enhancement, (8) National Literacy Advancement, and (9) Classroom Wall Magazines. Structured literacy programs at MIN Kota Bima not only support library accreditation standards but also foster students' reading interest and overall educational quality. Student participation in literacy activities promotes active learning engagement, positively impacting academic outcomes.
